Voy a usar el fútbol, concretamente a Messi y Cristiano Ronaldo, como tantas otras veces se ha hecho, para hablar de algunos valores.

También podría usar a James Hunt y Niki Lauda en F1, aprovechando que el otro día vi la película Rush, que recomiendo. No sabía nada de su historia antes de ver la peli, la verdad.

I’m going to use Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as an example of moral values. Or maybe  James Hunt and Niki Lauda in F1, using the movie Rush, that I watched last Wednesday and I highly recommend. To be honest, I didn’t know their story before.

Como  el bueno y el malo, se presentan como referentes morales, Dios sabrá porqué.

Like goodies and baddies, they are known as a sort of moral reference (only God knows why…)

Messi y Niki representan el esfuerzo, trabajo duro, humildad, honestidad…

Messi and Niki represent the hard work, effort, humility, honesty…

Por oro lado, Ronaldo y Hunt se conocen como arrogantes, egoistas, egocentricos y mujeriegos.

On the other hand, Ronaldo and Hunt are known as arrogant assholes, selfish, egocentric and womanizers.

En fin, estoy segura que muchas de las cosas que oimos son ciertas, pero hay muchas más que no sabemos.

Messi nos sorprendió recientemente, cuando dejó de pagar impuesto a Hacienda.

El Hombre me contaba el otro día como un asistente de Fergusson entrenaba a Ronaldo en centrarse más en la pelota y el juego en equipo, que en sus maravillosas jugadas.

Niki, que con tanto trabajo duro y constancia parecía incapaz de disfrutar de su matrimonio o Hunt, que me sorprendió cuando le partió la cara a un periodista después de una inapropiada pregunta a su colega Niki. (Tendréis que ver la peli).

Oh, well… I’m pretty sure that some of the news we heard from them are true, but there are also other things we don’t know.

Messi recently surprised us when he ‘forgot’ to pay some taxes to the Spanish government.

El Hombre was telling me how hard Ronaldo was coached to be a humble footballer and to focus his talent on the football and the team rather than on his wonderful goals.

The same with Niki, who seemed unable to enjoy the joy of his new marriage or the surprising Hunt, who beat a journalist after an inappropiate question to Niki, in a press conference. (You’ll have to watch the movie)

 

 

Así es la vida y en ella tenemos MEDIOS de COMUNICACIÓN. Te puedes vender como un capullo (o serlo) o como un hermanito de la caridad. Solo ellos saben si lo son o no. Lo que sí sabemos es que en el fondo, se necesitan el uno al otro, pues son RETO para el contrario.

This is life and MEDIA is in it. You can show yourself as an asshole or as a good guy. Only they know what they are. But here a big truth, competitors get along. They are a CHALLENGE to each other.

Mi (humilde) opinión. Los valores de Niki y Messi ‘venden’ más. Y Mourinho  seguro que aún se pregunta por qué.

Personal opinion. Niki and Messi’s values ‘sell’ more.
